Today we celebrated the completion of 14 new major publications of God’s Word in languages which have never before had such portions of God’s Word.

Most of these publications were entire New Testaments. Some contained portions of the Old Testament as well.

It was an amazing celebration. There were stories of suffering and great labor that has finally resulted in new Christians rejoicing in finally having God’s Word available in their own language.

Survey questions are HARD to write! Today I am trying to polish out survey questions. Shortly we will be participating in the Best Christian Workplaces Institute annual survey. This survey attempts to determine what staff feel about working in your organization. (We did this last year also.)

The Institute supplies over 50 questions, and we get to create five custom questions for the survey – questions asked just of our staff.

This morning I had five questions that I thought might work. After talking them over with a few people, I’m down to three. The other questions just weren’t clear enough.

The one issue I really want to ask about concerns attitudes related to fundraising. Many people are happy to do fundraising on behalf of someone else. But to do fundraising for one’s own ministry is another thing altogether.

This weekend Ruth and I will be visiting Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Sarasota, FL. We are really looking forward to this visit. Part of what makes this a special visit is that on Thursday the 28th, a group from the church will be coming over to visit us at Wycliffe’s Mobilization Center – our national headquarters.

On Thursday Sept 28 Wycliffe is hosting a special celebration. We will be presenting a group of newly published major Scripture portions – God’s Word published for the first time in a variety of languages from around the world.
